It is with immense pride and gratitude that I write to congratulate you on a truly remarkable achievement. Maumelle Charter High School has been recognized as one of the top 7% of schools in the nation for achieving Platinum status in the 2024 AP School Honor Roll. This distinction places MCHS among an elite group of schools nationwide, underscoring the hard work, dedication, and excellence that you consistently demonstrate.
Additionally, MCHS has earned the prestigious AP Access Award for demonstrating a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework. This award recognizes schools that not only offer rigorous AP courses but also ensure that all students, regardless of background or circumstance, have the opportunity to participate in and benefit from these challenging academic offerings. This achievement is especially significant as MCHS is one of only two schools in the state of Arkansas to receive BOTH the Platinum Honor Roll award and AP Access Award.
I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of our teachers and Mrs. Hiegel, our Academic Facilitator and AP Coordinator. Their commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-quality learning environment makes these accomplishments possible. They continually go above and beyond, providing students with the support and encouragement needed to excel in AP coursework and beyond. Similarly, I want to commend our students. Your determination, intellectual curiosity, and resilience are the driving forces behind this success. You should take great pride in your hard work and the excellence you have achieved.
